Issue with PC freezing during startup of games or programs (i9 and RTX 3080ti)

I'm just starting out on the forum and I really need some help because I'm not sure how to fix this issue.
My setup:
- i9-14900K
- RTX 3080 TI
- Z790 Gaming Plus
- 7200C34 DDR5 32 GB RAM
- Samsung SSD 970 Evo 1 TB
- Power supply 850W
- Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G9
The problem is:
- I recently upgraded my PC from AM4, DDR4 and Ryzen 5 5600X to boost my monitor's performance for higher FPS at 5120x1440 resolution.
Gaming has improved a lot now, but when playing games like Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, or The Finals:
- My PC crashes after loading the game.
- I get a blue screen and it restarts automatically.
- Sony Vegas, which I use for video editing, is also problematic. It takes a long time to load videos (5120x1440), and around 70% of the time I get another crash before I can watch anything.
I found a fix for The Finals and Overwatch 2 by adding -dx12 to the console settings, but now programs like Sony Vegas are even worse. I barely manage to add videos to my project because the footage is huge. While loading, I try to watch YouTube, but it crashes too.
I think there might be a power issue somewhere, but I can't figure it out.
Bios and GPU are updated, monitor is updated, and nothing is overclocked.
Anyone have any ideas where the power problem might be coming from?
I would strongly suspect the RAM due to its 7200 M/Ts speed. Enter the BIOS, disable XMP, and check for any enhancements. If stability returns, it may indicate the CPU or motherboard can't support the RAM rate. Continue testing with a memtest at least four times. Any errors suggest a faulty memory unit requiring a return merchandise authorization.
I ran the memtest with 4 passes. No errors were detected.
I use the 2nd and 4th slots for my RAM.
GPU: Nvidia
RAM: Corsair
CPU: Intel
Power Supply: Cooler Master 850 W
Motherboard: MSI
I kept XMP disabled throughout and my CPU Boost mode was also off.
After switching it back on, the same mistakes keep happening...
About 5 minutes before I wrote this, I turned on my PC and opened a browser and a game at the same time and suddenly got a blue screen... this shouldn’t happen.
I’m really struggling. Any suggestions?
Did you start from a blank slate or transfer the existing OS from your AMD system into this new setup? That might lead to unexpected problems. Are you keeping an eye on the temperatures, especially for the CPU and SSD? If game loading is slower than actual running, the SSD temperatures could be involved. The same applies to video editing tasks. Not overclocking doesn’t guarantee proper configuration; sometimes default settings can cause too much voltage, MCE activation, and instability. You might also need load line calibration. Did you connect both 12V EPS power cables?
