I've experienced this problem for a long time.
The PC behaves differently after almost every restart, shifting from sluggish mouse movement and laggy games to normal performance.
I'm curious about the possible causes and what areas I should examine to resolve this.
It's really annoying to have inconsistent mouse and PC responsiveness each time I play FPS games, especially since it makes it hard to maintain consistency.
Could there be a situation where a power supply of more than 750W could be contributing to these issues?
Here are my current specifications:
MOBO : B650 AORUS ELITE AX V1
CPU : RYZEN 5 7600X
RAM : 6000MHZ DDR5 KINGSTON FURY
GPU : RTX 4060
PSU : 750W PLATINUM BE QUIET
M2 : SAMSUNG 980 PRO AND SAMSUNG 980

I wouldn't assume a 4060 setup. Did you configure the PC with a fresh installation or attempt to start from an existing Windows version? In that case, a complete reinstall is recommended.

That's exactly what I assumed as well. The 4060 doesn't require much power.

I chose 5600mhz instead of 6000mhz and it works better, but sometimes it stutters or freezes. What adjustments could help fix this? Perhaps increasing the voltage slightly?

Maybe reduce the RAM speed slightly.

Default (JEDEC): DDR5-4800 CL40-39-39 @1.1V
EXPO Profile #1: DDR5-6000 CL36-38-38 @1.35V
EXPO Profile #2: DDR5-5600 CL36-38-38 @1.25V
XMP Profile #1: DDR5-6000 CL36-38-38 @1.35V
XMP Profile #2: DDR5-5600 CL36-38-38 @1.25V
Currently on EXPO Profile #2. What adjustments should I consider? I'm not very sure.

I'm not very experienced with AM5. You might want to check your RAM specifications and choose something near those numbers.

These are the ones, but I'm unsure about the right voltage adjustment. Perhaps reducing the frequency to 5400 would help?

I could attempt the configuration at 4800, then adjust gradually. However, typically I assume the RAM should clearly state its timing and voltage requirements on the label or packaging.

It's likely safe to proceed with your current profile. I'm planning to test EXPO 1 at 5600mhz, as it matches the timing requirements and should work well.
