Issue with PC after the third GPU – fans are running but nothing appears on screen
Hi guys, I'm facing an issue while assembling my PC and connecting the three GPUs. Here are the details I have:
Motherboard: Asus Prime B450-Plus
CPU: AMD Athlon 3000G
GPUs: 3x GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
Power Supply: Corsair HX1200
RAM: HyperX FURY Black 8GB 3200MHz
I managed to install all components without GPUs, booted the system, adjusted BIOS settings, and set up Windows 10. Initially, connecting each GPU one by one worked perfectly—first and second GPUs connected smoothly using risers. But when I tried to connect the third GPU, the PC wouldn’t start. I don’t have a display, can’t enter BIOS, but the CPU fan and GPU lights function normally. I attempted to boot with just one GPU or none at all, but that also failed.
Later, I replaced the motherboard with a new one (AsRock B450 Pro4), updated the CPU and RAM, and tried again. Still, two GPUs worked, but the third one caused everything to fail. I no longer have a display and can’t switch between one or two GPUs anymore.
I’ve tried resetting the CMOS, clearing RAM slots, using a different monitor and HDMI cable—nothing helped. The 4G decoding is enabled, and the PSU seems to be working since fans spin and GPUs light up. Still unsure if the issue lies with the PSU or something else.
I’m really confused and would appreciate any advice or suggestions from you!
Attempt to update the BIOS or revert it to a previous version (That worked for me).
