Issue with overheating on your Ryzen 7 5800X
Hello. I tried to boost my R7 5800X, setting it to 4400MHz and 1.25V, but the idle temps stayed within normal ranges (40-50°C). However, when I ran AP Cinebench r23, the temperatures spiked significantly (around 100-105°C). I have an nzxt Kraken X73 and an Aorus B550 Master.
Yes, pumps and fans operate at full capacity when CPU temperature exceeds 90 degrees.
I expect temperatures to hover around 85 to 90 C during gaming. I’d set the pump speed to maximum and increase fan speeds above 70 or 75 C. The NZXT Kraken’s coldplate isn’t ideal for Ryzen chiplet architecture. For long-term optimization, focus on open-loop water cooling with the Ryzen 5000 series. Also consider ensuring enough case airflow so the AIO radiator doesn’t get blocked.
They took my words out of context. A 360 AIO isn't enough for ideal cooling. You're pushing a hot component too hard.
