Issue with overheating in laptops due to clocking or voltage issues
I recently received an Asus Strix Scar 2 and was attempting to undervolt/overclock it for optimal performance. Everything seemed normal until temperatures dropped below 80. Then, when I switched to the graphics card, the system crashed roughly three-quarters of the way through. After rebooting, the CPU benchmarks via Intel xtu showed temperatures reaching 95°C along with current and thermal throttling. Do you think the heatsinks were removed or is there a more serious issue?
It wasn't about increasing the CPU speed, but lowering the voltage to reduce clock temperatures. The GPU was the focus of adjustments. Usually I encounter no problems, but if I push too far the system crashes and restarts. Even after a reset this time, the temperatures remain excessively high.
