Hey there, I received a Windows 10 academic edition key from my college. I plan to install it on my secondary machine since it’s running an outdated Windows 7 version. I need to transfer the ISO onto a USB drive because the original one is slow. My internet speed is quite limited, and downloading the 3.7GB file takes around ten hours for me. In the first couple of attempts, I managed about 1.7GB, but it would crash and leave a corrupted disk image. I’ve been waiting until Sundays to try again. This time I got 1.6GB, and while I was on my main PC ordering Pizza Hut, the secondary one froze mid-download (it just shows the file in my downloads without any error). It seems there might be a problem since my secondary computer lacks a Wi-Fi card and uses a powerline connection, which isn’t always stable. I’m considering taking my laptop to my girlfriend’s place—she has a much slower 25Mbps connection—and downloading the ISO there before creating a bootable USB for the secondary machine. Am I safe to skip using another computer for this? I’ve done this before with Windows 7, but a tech expert told me the ISO needs to be on the PC getting Windows 10. Any advice or experiences you have would be super helpful!
