You're experiencing issues loading the executable on Windows 7.1. Have you tried checking the file integrity or running it in a different environment?

This application may face challenges when installed on the latest Windows releases. It is officially compatible with Windows 98, 2000, ME, and XP. Consider using compatibility mode for one of these systems and ensure DirectPlay is activated.

I attempted the compatibility feature for service pack 2, but it failed. What does DirectPlay refer to?

I also did that. I just picked up a CD from a friend who claimed it was original, but it didn’t work. They said it was cracked, so I downloaded the cracked version now. Now it shows this message.

Thanks a lot for the assistance. I’ll reach out to EA Games to look into it. My friend mentioned there might be a serial key on the CD case—maybe we can fix this.

I attempted to launch the game on Windows 10 but ended up using an older XP system. The performance was significantly better on the older AMD graphics cards compared to the GTX 650Ti I had, even though the GTX 650Ti performed over 300% better in benchmarks. It seems newer AMD cards struggle with the older AMD HD4670 or HD5770, while newer NVIDIA models work more smoothly. If you choose an XP setup, I advise using an AMD GPU for a better experience. The drivers and settings in the Catalyst control panel are much more user-friendly.

I'm having trouble finding a suitable motherboard for my Acer V5-P571P right now. I'm planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 3 2220 with 8GB of RAM and 2666MB of memory, but it's hard to locate the best and affordable option. I might consider purchasing a whole MSI Afterburner setup once I have my own PC built.
