Issue with New PC. Unusual black screen and disabled keyboard and mouse.
Hello
I recently bought a new PC and have encountered an unsettling problem. It has occurred about six times in the past three days, mostly while gaming but possibly during browsing as well. The screen goes dark and both the mouse and keyboard shut down as if the entire system has failed, even though the PC itself continues to run. It only restarts when I press the power button and perform a hard reboot.
I’ve shared the PC specifications below and believe the drivers are up to date. I’m convinced this is the cause since the system came with Gigabyte Control Center software, and I installed the AM5 driver update via it along with other updates it recommended. I suspect the issue began after that installation but haven’t used the PC extensively before.
Next, I visited the AMD website, selected the A620 Drivers and Support, and downloaded the chipset software. After installing, I restarted the PC and returned to the same step, receiving the same message: I need the drivers again. This cycle repeats, with logs indicating installation but still requiring them. It might be a minor hiccup, but I really need assistance resolving this.
