Hello i recently bought a d-link switch to connect my tv and android player. The problem is that it doesn't connect. The switch works, when i connect both of my pcs everything is ok even the speed of the internet. When i try to connect my tv and android player there is no internet connection. Tv shows that is connected via ethernet connection meanwhile A.P just keeps on searching. All cables are cat 5e.

If you haven't: Consider another port. Use alternative cables, especially the one connecting back to the router. Attempt to disable the switch entirely. If unsuccessful, try a different switch. Maybe switch to a different brand.

I've tested various ports and cables already. The next step would be using Cat 6 cables if that could help. Even with a higher-quality cable, I'm not sure it will make a difference.

These tools have functioned earlier in alternative configurations.

I purchased the switch to link my TV using Ethernet because Wi-Fi performance was poor—around 50-60 Mbps—and streaming 4K consistently caused delays. Both devices use the cable directly from the router.

The TV includes an option to disable WiFi. It sometimes continues searching for a network even when connected via Ethernet, despite being plugged in. I experienced similar behavior with my shield—turning off WiFi caused it to switch to cable. If this persists, check your router settings to ensure the TV receives its IP address.

It seems nothing has altered. Similar to my TV shows linked through Ethernet, yet when I check the settings, it indicates no connection is being made.
