Because I’m paying rent, the responsibility falls on the landlords to install the cable. If it turns out to be faulty, I don’t want to interfere, so no one can claim I damaged it. I’ll observe how the electrician works today and if the issue isn’t resolved, I’ll handle it myself because I’m just frustrated. In the US, B seems to be popular; in Europe, A appears more common.
