I purchased Need for Speed Undercover because I used to play it on a PlayStation 2 as a child. This time I played it on my computer. I bought a cheap key, obtained Origin, and redeemed it. The game was downloaded successfully. When I opened it, I intended to create a new account but the loading screen froze. I heard what sounded like wind in the game, but nothing loaded. The visual effects during loading didn't move, and I couldn't take any action. I have an AMD GPU and CPU, but none of my attempts resolved the issue. I was wondering if anyone here knows how to fix it.

I don't have prior experience with this, but have you considered running it as an administrator or using compatibility mode?

checking online it appears the steam edition functions for some users while the origin version experiences significant issues like stuttering

It's true, the game is really problematic on PC. I own the DVD copy, but it also doesn't function well with Windows 7.

A few classic games don't work properly on Windows 10, which suggests the same for Undercover too. To enjoy it, you may need to obtain an emulator version.

I attempted compatibility mode for Windows 7. Could try it with even older versions as well.

I just picked up the DVD box. It shows XP SP2 and Vista but no newer titles, which might be the case.
The game came out in 2008, and Windows 7 followed in 2009.
