I recently installed a new hard drive on my laptop. However, whenever I attempt to reinstall Origin for Sims, I encounter issues with VCR runtime 140 and missing files like Dll and msvcr140.dll. I've tried installing those programs, but Origin still doesn't install properly. Any suggestions?

The download location. I have consistently obtained Origin from that site and faced no issues until now.

Did you initiate the Windows update process and apply the latest patches after booting up with the new hard drive?

EA released a new platform called EA Desktop, currently in open beta. It uses the same login information and games, but the appearance is different—worth checking out.
