Issue with my PC's VGA not being detected consistently.
Issue with my PC's VGA not being detected consistently.
Hello, this is my initial post. I just assembled a PC with these specifications:
Asus Tuf Gaming z590 plus
Intel i5 10600k
G-Skill RipjawsV 2400 8Gb x 2
No GPU
Corsair RM 750x PSU
Thermaltake UX100 cooler
Thermaltake Versa C23 TG case
After a few days of buying, I realized my PC won't open. It seems the VGA isn't detected, and the monitor displays "Input signal not found." However, the PC is still running. The Mobo VGA light stays on nonstop, and sometimes the boot light is also active.
Ram slots A1 & A2 are not working, but B1 & B2 are functioning correctly. This issue started from the beginning. The RAM is only in the B1 & B2 slots, which are working.
Please note that the motherboard has 12 port EPS connectors, but I connected an 8-port power cord instead of the correct 8-port EPS connector. The extra four ports might be for overclocking purposes. I have never overclocked my CPU.
As you can see, I'm in a very strange situation and can't determine the exact cause of this problem. If I remove all components from the motherboard along with the BIOS battery and reset it occasionally, the PC runs for a day. When I shut everything down and try to boot again, the same issue persists. Also, please mention that the BIOS was updated to its latest version.
I really need more help from you to resolve this matter. Thank you in advance.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Consider upgrading to a 2x8GB/2x16GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM kit. Your current setup isn't utilizing your system's full potential.
RAM slots are labeled A2 and B2. Follow the manual for proper installation.
Please remember that motherboards have 12 port EPS connectors, but I used an 8-port power cord because my PSU only supports 8 ports. The extra port could be for overclocking, though I never did it.
If you're using ATX_12V_2, don't worry—this connector is for overclocking the motherboard.
No GPU mentioned. If you have one and aren't seeing it detected, double-check your configuration.
Are you certain you don't own an i5-10600KF?
I plan to purchase new RAM but am unable due to the absence of the correct slot and display. Testing with 3200MHz RAM still shows the same issue.
Sorry, my error in writing. Slots A1 & A2 are not functioning. RAM works on B1 & B2. Using a single stick also causes the same problem.
I don’t have a discrete GPU at the moment; my PC uses the built-in one. Because of these issues, I’m hesitant to buy a GPU right now. I own an 10600K but not a KF.
When the PC started up normally, I updated my BIOS driver via EZ. Before that, it was done using the Armory Create app.
You may want to check the CPU's socket for any bent or damaged pins. If none are found, it's likely the CPU has been damaged. You can attempt to place the CPU on a known functional motherboard to determine if the problem continues. Regarding BIOS updates, proceed using traditional methods by accessing the BIOS settings and updating to the newest version, without relying on software applications.
Brand and model details of the monitor are available. Connection types supported are DP or HDMI. Compatibility with various video cables has been verified. If the video cable is disconnected and reinserted during operation, the system will function as expected.
Already checked it before and there are no bent or broken pins... it's really fresh. The only thing left is trying it on another board. Updated the BIOS via EZ from the BIOS menu, as I mentioned earlier. Previously, I used the app.
Model HP 22e monitoring via HDMI.
Attempted using three different HDMI cables.
No changes occurred, issue continues.
Checked all possible adjustments—motherboard, CPU, power supply, cooler—but nothing resolved the problem. The PC started working normally after a few days, but the issue reappeared later.
