Issue with my latest model
Hey everyone, I'm facing a tricky issue and really appreciate any assistance you can offer. I bought this setup: CPU - AMD Ryzen 3600, Motherboard - B450 Tomahawk Max, RAM - G.Skill RipjawsV 16GB DDR4-3200MHz, PSU - Be Quiet System Power 9 600W, GPU - 1050 2GB NVMe SSD from 1.0TB M.2. Whenever I log into Windows, I encounter a black screen, crashes, and sometimes it freezes. I've tried formatting, updating drivers, switching to Linux and Chrome OS, but nothing works. The only change I made in the BIOS was updating XMP to 3200MHz. Could someone help me resolve this? Thanks!
Ensure all settings are correct before proceeding. If everything is fine, manually increase the RAM speed.
Consensus reached on these B450 boards, particularly those lacking pro support; they struggle to handle 3200MHZ. It's recommended to operate between 2666-30000MHZ. The description suggests a potential memory stability concern.
Attempted lowering RAM speed. Turned off XMP also set speed to 2666. Issue persists, experiencing random freezes when accessing certain pages. Possibly CPU or RAM-related problem. Trying RAM at 1600MHz without success.
In that scenario, your build issue likely stems from the M.2 Kingston Drive, which often uses lower quality storage solutions. Ten years prior, I installed a new build and encountered failure with the Kingston 120G SSD. Consider trying to install Windows on an older drive to determine if the problem persists.
I believe most electronics provide a 14-day or even 30-day exchange or refund option in Canada, as it is part of the British commonwealth where regulations are consistent. Similarly, for reputation, the warranty should adequately cover this.
