You're experiencing issues with your M.2 slots not detecting the SSD when using different Ryzen processors, while Slot 2 works well. The SSD you're using is a Samsung 980 Pro 500GB Gen 4. It might help to verify the correct slot for your specific motherboard model and processor version. Consider checking the manufacturer's documentation or contacting their support for compatibility details.

It's unusual. Are you certain the M.2 slot connects to the PCIe lanes on the CPU or the motherboard chipset? Usually, if the SSD or RAM stopped working and then improved after a CPU change, the original CPU might not have been properly seated or the cooler wasn't providing enough pressure. Reinserting it and adjusting the cooler often resolves the issue if the pin-to-pad contact was unstable. Have you inspected the CPU pads for any debris that could block signals? Do you have another motherboard to test?

M.2_1 connects to the CPU. I checked using a different motherboard. The processor works well. Also tried with another SSD, it functions properly too.
