The BIOS lists M2_1 as missing, but you’re certain the board can handle your SSD. Double-check compatibility before sending it back—maybe verify the model number or contact the seller for confirmation.

It seems the installation was adjusted from the Carbon version. Are all connections properly aligned? For instance, the mounting bracket and screw holes need to fit snugly with the SSD dent.

I started by checking if my laptop’s SSD was detected during startup in the BIOS. Then I connected the new SSD to my machine and confirmed it worked. This behavior might point to a BIOS configuration problem.

You're using the identical SSD and motherboard. What BIOS version are you running? Make sure the drive is seated properly, the stand-off is connected to the board, and the screw securing the drive to the stand-off was correctly attached (you mentioned difficulty with that during installation).

I believe the installation was done right. The BIOS version in use is the 2019-10-25 release. There appears to be an updated version available, I plan to install it.

I wasn't sure if you were aware of what you were doing, but since I hadn't installed an NMVE before, I ran into problems initially. The BIOS I'm using is the 7C02v35 from November 11, 2019.
