I've faced an issue with my MSI 6950XT Gaming X Trio after purchasing it last month. Despite trying various solutions and using my knowledge and research, I haven't seen any improvement. Whenever the AMD Andrenaline Driver is installed, the LED-controlled app (MSI Mystic Lights) fails to function properly—it only registers the card but doesn’t allow any control, leaving the previous settings intact.

Context: The card I own is second-hand. My current card is an MSI 2080Ti Gaming X Trio. The seller didn't mention anything about it, and I first encountered the problem when attempting to modify the LED settings via MSI Mystic Light. Since this was a minor issue (other functions worked normally), I didn’t reach out to the seller for help and tried to fix it myself.

PC specifications: i7 12700, Gigabyte Z690M Aorus Elite DDR4, TridentZ 64GB DDR4, Gigabyte 1000W power supply (exact model forgotten), Windows 10 64bit.

How it began: After swapping the 2080Ti for the 6950XT, I used DDU in safe mode to remove the NVIDIA driver. Then I replaced the card and booted up the PC. Windows installed the driver automatically (without Andrenaline software), followed by installing MSI Mystic Light. Until now, I could control the LED and everything worked as expected.

However, after downloading and installing the latest AMD Andrenaline official driver, the issue resurfaced. After rebooting, MSI Mystic Light stopped working entirely. The LED remained unchanged from the previous configuration. If I ever need to modify the settings again, I have to uninstall the driver using DDU and let the PC install its own version to enable the apps.

Summary: Installing the newest AMD Andrenaline software on my PC has caused MSI Mystic Light to stop functioning.

What I tried:
- Fresh Windows 10 installation – problem continued after installing the latest driver, then resolved by disabling the graphics driver with DDU and letting Windows install its own.
- Resetting CMOS
- Reinserting the card (though uncertain if worthwhile)
Anyone else experienced this? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you!

Gigabyte 1000W power supply (model not remembered)
Consider removing the side panels to check the sticker on the PSU. How long has the PSU been in use?
During the upgrade from 2080Ti to 6950XT, I used DDU with safe mode to uninstall the NVIDIA driver, then replaced the card and booted up the PC. After that, Windows installed the driver automatically (without Andrenaline software). Ideally, you should use DDU to remove all GPU drivers (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually install the latest driver from AMD's support site via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
Regarding the Mystic light widget in MSI's Center app, what version are you using? What is the BIOS version of your motherboard?
