Sure, I'll rephrase it while keeping the original meaning and tone.
If you connected the RTX 2070 Super to your PC, would the motherboard handle the power supply adequately? Would the CPU become a limiting factor? Also, it seems the problem might not be with your PC itself, since I achieved over 30 FPS on high-end tutorials while only getting about 20 FPS in free settings.
Seems like even top-tier systems with 10900K and 2080Ti managed only 30 fps in this MS FS 2020 giant...
Running fs2020 on a 6 core [email protected] setup seems to utilize only around 4 threads. A basic test with a Cessna gives me 33fps, which appears quite smooth. Simulating a 747 might be straining things. You're using a Z170 motherboard and a K suffix processor. If you haven't overclocked yet, you're missing out on about 25% performance. As of 12/04/2016, the recommended overclock percentage for a 1.40v Vcore is: I5-6600K - 4.9%, 4.8 - 38%, 4.7 - 67%, 4.6 - 87%.
I own a 2070S equipped with a 7700k, achieving 35-70fps on medium settings at 3440x1440 resolution. The simulation is very taxing... Upgrading the CPU/GPU would be necessary.
I have a strong interest in flight simulators, but I'm holding off until MSF2020 gets updated before buying. Right now, it's functioning very badly, so I wouldn't go for it. It should utilize DX12 and undergo a complete rewrite.
