You've recently installed a new SD card and are facing issues when moving music files from your PC to specific folders via a USB C to C cable. The transfer sometimes fails randomly, with no clear error messages—only a generic Windows 10 sound. The problem appears to affect certain files while others move normally, even when the problematic file is excluded. You can copy files outside the folder but can't relocate them back inside. This seems like a rare or obscure issue, so I'm checking if anyone knows the possible cause.

Are you encountering a situation with many files? I’ve noticed this before, and using ADB to move the files instead resolved the issue and improved speed.

It looks like your music collection is quite large—over 80 gigabytes, mainly in FLAC format. When using an external card reader on the SD card, the transfer appears smooth, so the problem might lie with how Android or your Windows device handles media management.

You can use Google Drive if you have a Google account. Files from your PC can be uploaded via the browser, then downloaded to your phone using the Google Drive app.

When dealing with the problem, I was mainly moving around 15 GB. It wasn’t as smooth as dragging files directly, but after the big part was done, using ADB helped me transfer things faster. You could also try adb push to send files. Just enable USB debugging on the phone temporarily and turn it off once finished.
