Motherboard - Z790 Aorus Pro X
Running Windows 11
My Razer keyboard needs both USB and USB Type-C connections. It’s functioning properly until recently, when it suddenly stopped responding. I disconnected both cables and switched to another USB and USB Type-C port on the front of the case—it worked. This suggests the problem isn’t with the keyboard itself, but rather with the rear USB C port. The standard USB port is fine, but the Type-C connection isn’t. I also tried charging my Oculus, which uses a Type-C device, but had no success.

It seems a driver issue might be the cause, though the Device Manager doesn’t show any errors. People with similar problems reported a yellow error triangle next to their USB device, but that wasn’t visible here. I attempted to uninstall the USB C driver, but the naming structure was confusing, and I didn’t want to risk removing the wrong driver.

I’ve reviewed the BIOS settings but haven’t found any specific instructions about individual USB ports. Being relatively new to BIOS, I might have missed something important.

This worked well for a while before today’s issue. Could you offer some guidance? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm experiencing the same problem. One of my USB-C connections on the motherboard stopped functioning after less than a month, even though there haven't been any updates or changes that could explain this. The other USB-C port on the back is working properly. I'm using a Z790 Aorus Pro X F4 BIOS and running Windows 11.
