Issue with memory detection code on Asus ROG Z690 Maximus Extreme.
You're facing a boot issue with your Asus ROG Z690 Maximus Extreme setup. After checking the memory compatibility, you switched to G.Skill Trident Z5, but the same problem persists. You've already updated the BIOS and reset it, yet the Q-Code still shows "55 Memory Not Installed." It might help to double-check the exact memory model and specifications, or consider reaching out to Asus support for further guidance.
Check the source now and avoid turning it back on until you confirm your issue.
Reject the reference; the problem you described involves the ROG Maximus Z690 Hero, which appears in the linked article with its model and serial details. (Refer to image below) As noted earlier, the board in question is the ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme, though it shares similarities with the Hero.
Same configuration with g.skill and z690 Extreme is causing issues. My RAM freezes right after startup, and I experience a memory detection freeze. I’m forced to shut everything down completely to fix it. I don’t have any fixes, just sharing what’s happening.
Still here past a year later. The Asus Z690 Extreme is really lacking, especially with the Corsair Dominator 6200 at 6.2GHz.
