I assembled my initial machine roughly a month ago. It features a Ryzen 7 5700x, 4x8GB Trident Z Neo at 3600mhz CL18 RAM, an Asus TUF Gaming B550 Plus WiFi II motherboard, a Colorful iGame RTX 3070 Ti, and a NZXT 750 Watt power supply. When I initially set up the PC and tried to run the RAM at its rated speed by turning on the D.O.C.P profile, the system kept restarting in a loop until it entered safe mode with the RAM reduced to 2200mhz. At that point, I increased the voltage from 1.35 to 1.36 volts and it functioned properly. After entering the BIOS to enable Hardware Virtualization without adjusting memory settings, the boot loop resumed and eventually returned to 2200mhz. Once I raised the voltage again, the issue resolved after a few attempts. This occurred about two weeks ago. Since then, certain games have randomly crashed or refused to launch, including Apex Legends, Far Cry 6, and Deadloop. It has already crashed twice, even restarting in safe mode at 2200mhz. I’m currently operating this machine to document the problem, keeping the voltage at 1.375v and disabling ASUS Performance Enhancement. Unlike previous instances, it didn’t loop before working after a few tries. I feel as though I’m holding a time-sensitive device that could fail unexpectedly. Are there any advice or solutions you could share? Should I experiment with different RAM types? As a novice builder, I don’t have other components on hand and prefer not to purchase additional parts unless necessary. I’m open to trying alternative RAM if it helps. The CPU has been consistently near its maximum boost frequency—around 4.0 to 4.6 GHz—though the AMD support community reassured me this was acceptable (temperatures were normal, usage low). Edit: Recent crashes began after installing Signal RGB; I suspect that might be unrelated but the timing was unusual, so I included that detail as well.
