It makes sense to be puzzled. The BIOS also indicates it's operating at 3200mhz.

It operates at double data rate, which means 1599.6 x 2 equals roughly 3200 MHz. There aren<|pad|>, that’s the standard I’m seeing. It’s just how it’s designed.

This behavior matches what I anticipated. ASUS BIOS seems to display an unusual memory frequency, showing the JEDEC speed instead of the expected current rate. Checking the upper section reveals the 3200 MHz figure. CPU-Z accurately reflects the real memory speed, which is double what BIOS or Task Manager indicate. Because RAM operates at Double Data Rate, you should use the CPU-Z value and double it to determine the actual data rate.
