I set up Snow Leopard on it but the usual app store icon isn’t visible. I downloaded the OSX system for my MacBook 2009 5.2 and need guidance on installing the Mac App Store on my computer.

Restart the operating system, it seems there’s an issue with your device.

In Snow Leopard, you must install all updates from the Apple Menu to access the App Store and upgrade your device. Only the newest Snow Leopard release includes the AppStore functionality.
