Issue with low frame rate using RTX 2080 SUPER in Fortnite
Hello everyone,
I've been facing this problem since February after installing my new GPU. With the current settings, I'm consistently achieving around 180 FPS at 1080p, dropping to about 60 in regular solo games. The situation worsens significantly when playing on the game's final zones, often bringing me down to just 20 FPS. Even though I removed all four monitors and got the same performance, it still doesn't help.
Now, using Epic settings, my FPS remains nearly identical to what I get with low settings. I recall using a GTX 980Ti with low and epic configurations to achieve higher FPS. My brother has an i9-9900K with an RTX 2060 and consistently hits over 400 FPS. On GTA V, I'm around 120 FPS with normal settings and 60 FPS online.
I'm really frustrated because I invested a lot and don't feel like I'm getting the performance I paid for.
Thanks.
Will your rig keep the temperature range between 3500-3600 MHz across all cores, monitoring monitor temps and clock speeds through HWMonitor for 20 minutes using CPU-Z/bench/stress CPU? Your CPU temperatures are only around 45°C, which suggests clock speeds might be as low as 800-1000 MHz, possibly due to the Economy Mode power plan or faulty chipset drivers.
I pushed my CPU to its limits using AIDA64, with all cores running at 4000 MHz and peak temperatures around 50°C at full load. The custom loop helped keep the temps down.

Is this problem present in other titles as well? It seems likely linked to a recent Fortnite patch, which frequently affects similar games.
I didn't attempt that before. I reinstalled Windows in May, but things remained unchanged.
