Issue with low frame rate and stuttering in Warzone
I'm trying to determine which adjustments or upgrades could help make the game functional. I believe my system should be able to run it smoothly on medium or low settings, but it still feels unplayable even at low levels. I've watched several YouTube videos suggesting tweaks for higher FPS in Warzone, but nothing seems to resolve the problem. Could it be that my hardware is too limited? I've tested various resolutions—2560 x 1440 and 1920 x 1440—but the game remains unresponsive regardless of ping. It works with both 30ms and 100ms latencies. I have three monitors connected to my GPU: two via HDMI and one via DVI. The game runs through an HDMI connection to a Lenovo ThinkVision P24q-20. I've also tried different graphics settings, but nothing improves playability.
I have the following specs:
- Intel i7 4790K @ 4.0GHz
- Asrock Fatal1ty H97 Killer
- 24Gb DDR3 @ 1600MHz
- MSI AMD Radeon RX 480 GAMING X 8GB @ 1320MHz
- Installed in the bottom PCI-E slot (top not recognized)
- Thermaltake TR2 600W power supply
- Kingston SSD 223GB (OS installed)
- Seagate 1TB HD @ 7200rpm (game installed)
I'm considering an upgrade to a better motherboard or possibly a new one that supports overclocking, as well as a different GPU slot. Would these changes help improve performance?
Warzone isn't very well optimized. My 8700k is running around 80% of its capacity, as a reference. You really need to turn on the in-game settings that display usage, but I think it's putting a strain on your CPU.
The HDD usage during gameplay is likely high, possibly causing stuttering.
