I purchased and began using an LG C2 42" display a few weeks ago. Initially, my PC screen displayed great quality with HDR and 4K, but recently I've encountered issues. When launching games, the screen shows images, yet I see persistent white lines or static in green/purple, or it flips between black and nothing. This only happens when multiple monitors are active—something that wasn't an issue before. My setup has remained consistent since first installing the C2: 5800x3d 3080ti HDMI: LG C2 at 120Hz, DP1 at Alienware 3440/1440 at 120Hz, DP2 at LG 2560/1080 at 144Hz. I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling everything, disabling Gsync, changing refresh rates, and even swapping HDMI and DP cables, but nothing resolves the problem. Anyone have any suggestions? My first Christmas gift has turned into a major hassle.

The problem with LG's OLED tech is that it often fails right away. You should replace your display quickly if you're still under their return window. Otherwise, you'll be stuck dealing with LG. In reality, your OLED might already be showing issues when you open the box. Other brands haven't had enough time in the market to discover such problems.

I initially wanted to run a GPU test, but a monitor appears more likely. The plan would be to use any other display on the system and check performance. If the issue persists, replace the cable; if it resolves, the cable is the culprit. If not, the GPU is probably the cause.

I think there might be something straightforward, like a faulty HDMI cable. It’s also easy to verify, but unfortunately I’ve met many people whose OLED displays suddenly stopped working unexpectedly.

I really appreciate the monitor setup before mine, though cables are at least a $30 hassle. If you could just stop by the B&M where I bought it and swap it out, that’d likely be the fastest solution. You might also want to grab another cable while you’re there. If you realize you don’t need it, you can return it without opening it. Edited December 11, 2022 by Bombastinator

Unfortunately, it isn't the cable issue. I've tested three HDMI 2.1 cables from two different brands, and they all performed similarly on my Sony 4K HDR TV and the other monitors. The PC is functioning normally while the C2 is experiencing issues. I've updated the GPU drivers and spent a lot of time adjusting NVIDIA Control Panel and C2 settings. One unexpected tip helped: disabling Gsync for just the C2 reduced the flickering. That wasn't a permanent solution, but it gave me some relief. I'm considering returning it to the store, though they don’t have any in stock—it’s still covered under warranty. Edit: I haven’t identified a clear reason why this problem started suddenly after two weeks of stable operation.

Looks like the monitor is giving off a distinct signal. Sorry, buddy.

Checking if it's a chain, and looking for availability elsewhere.

It was Sam's club. They're not available at my nearby shops and out of stock online. I just looked, only a week remains before the return window closes, so I submitted the request. Now the question is... would I want to attempt it again and purchase another one, hehe? Edit: I'm likely to skip trying again anyway.

The staff at Sam’s club might be able to perform a search, though it doesn’t seem crucial.
