The initial disk functions properly, but inserting the second disk and selecting the correct path to the cab file triggers this error. Many users have encountered the same issue, but no solution has been found yet. You're using Windows 7 64-bit—anyone have a suggestion?

Check compatibility by testing it in WinXP SP3; it typically functions.

On the first disk? I tried it with Vista compatibility. XP didn't function at all. The second disk is just the data cab—it contains nothing executable or setup-related.

It seems the installation might fail due to a corrupt file. Consider purchasing it on Steam during a discount. Running the installer with admin privileges could help.

Either the disk or your DVD Rom might have an issue.
