Issue with HDR monitor after CMOS reset
I have been using two monitors without problems, one with HDMI and one with HDR. I had to clear the CMOS this morning, but now my HDR monitor won’t work unless I connect the HDMI cable, even though I need that cable for the other monitor. The HDR monitor only functions when the HDMI cable is plugged in. It started working properly with the HDR cable until I reset the CMOS. Now it only works with the HDMI cable. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you for your help.
there is no such thing as an "HDR" cable.
you might be thinking about DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, etc.?
sometimes ports just fail to work.
sometimes cables stop transferring data at a sufficient bandwidth.
try using the display with another system that supports HDR and see if it functions there.
also, test multiple cables of the same type.
