Issue with grey or no signal display on my monitor using RTX 3070
Issue with grey or no signal display on my monitor using RTX 3070
I just returned from my grandmother's house and discovered my GPU wasn't sending any signal to the monitor. This issue has occurred again a few months ago, and I reported it for repair, which resolved the problem so far. The monitor displays no signal or a gray screen. After restarting several times, I was able to use the BIOS, but once I exited it, the signal disappeared. The GPU lights are on, all peripherals are active, and the fans are running. I tried swapping PCIe cables, removing one RAM stick to install another, changing the HDMI port to DP, and reseating the GPU into the TV. Still getting no signal. What should I do to fix this? I own an old GT710 and wouldn't want to play games with that GPU anymore. I'm switching to Windows. Could this be due to the card not being properly seated in the PCIe slot? (It was already re-seated) but there seems to be some interference from the long cable in my case. System specs: CPU - e3 1270v3, cooler - stock thermal right, Mobo - Asus H81M-K, RAM - Kingston 16GB at 1600MHz, GPU - Dell OEM RTX 3070/GT710, PSU - Thermaltake ToughPower GF2 650W, Storage - 1TB SSD.
The long component travels from the motherboard to the case back bracket. Check the card connector for any signs of damage from previous improper installation. Based on the photo, it seems not fully seated. There might also be issues with the ports. It appears the card is likely non-functional.
DisplayPort and HDMI lack a signal, so I believe the issue lies with the ports.
Tomorrow I plan to remove the mobile from its case (similar to a test bench) and then connect the PC with the GPU, making sure it fits correctly without any interference. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you for your support!
