I recently upgraded an old HP Pavilion p7-1236s for a friend. I had a compatible Xeon that performed better than the previous i3 model, but it lacked integrated graphics, so I installed an R7 250 to enable display functionality. Unfortunately, none of the ports showed any signal. The fan started up, and the system responded normally. Initially, I suspected the card itself, but testing on other setups confirmed it worked. I later considered the PCIe slot, but swapping it with an RX 560 resolved the issue. The RX 560 provided extra power via a 6-pin connector, whereas the R7 250 relied solely on the PCIe slot. It seems the slot might not be delivering sufficient power. I checked the BIOS settings, which were limited due to the prebuilt nature of the motherboard. The board model is Joshua H61. For further troubleshooting, I plan to conduct additional tests when time allows. Thank you, Matteo.
