Hello everyone, the issue I'm facing is that my RX 7900 XTX Sapphire Pulse is too big for my motherboard. The SATA ports on my X570 MSI Gaming EDGE are too high, so the GPU just sits on top and doesn't fit fully into the PCIe slot—only about three-quarters of it reaches the contacts, which is enough for reading. The main problems I notice are persistent error LEDs that stay on VGA after exiting BIOS and trying to boot Windows. This hasn't happened with my RTX 3070, which fits completely, nor with my Discord streams or streaming games like CS2, Valorant, and LOL, but it does with this setup. I've already tried reseating everything, changing RAM, switching GPUs, and even removing one M.2 SSD at a time, but nothing helped. If all else fails, it might be the old motherboard part or RAM, and I'm considering replacing the GPU too. Thanks for your attention—I hope this helps!

It seems MSI might have caused the problem here. The M2, chipset, and heatsink SATA connectors appear unusually tall, and similar issues have been reported. Check this guide from pcpartpicker for a possible solution: https://pcpartpicker.com/builds/by_part/gwPgXL

@TryRestart Verify it isn't targeting the chipset heatsink/M2 heatsink rather than the SATA port. It could be useful to confirm with Otu that it was installed correctly.

That's correct, and I understood that before I tested the lower slot. CPU-Z also confirmed it accurately.

If he can't mount in the top slot, then what?

PCIe 4.0 upgrade for vertical installation... or consider returning the motherboard if feasible. I might challenge MSI about this being a significant design issue and attempt to request a replacement for another model.

That's a potential scenario. And I'm in agreement.

But the second long slot is only x4 bandwidth, it'll lower the card performance significantly on Gen4, and cripple it on Gen3, we're talking about a 7900XTX... Really bad board design...
