I'm experiencing random black screens while gaming. After launching the game for 2-3 minutes, it freezes abruptly followed by black screens. Temperatures are normal, around mid to high 70s. Initially thought the power supply was the issue since I had a 650W unit, but upgrading didn't fix it. I also tried flashing a new BIOS, but it reports a PCI ID mismatch error. Any advice or tech tips would be appreciated!

What power supply you had and what you replaced it with. Did you experiment with DDU?

I installed a cooler master 650w and switched to a gigabyte Aorus 850w 80 plus gold. I chose DDU since I moved up from a 6600xt.

They seem to be using two good PSUs, so it might not be a power supply problem. DDU didn’t resolve the issue, so you could try again—computers can behave unpredictably sometimes. You haven’t heard of the PCI ID error when updating BIOS; it usually appears at a specific point during installation. Could you tell me the exact model of your motherboard? Also, consider running Memtest to verify your RAM stability.

We discussed the GPU BIOS settings. I plan to reinstall DDU and possibly update some outdated drivers. I also intend to try turning off SAM to observe the effects. The RAM performance is normal when using a different GPU, but with this one it freezes after about three minutes in-game, causing the screen to go black. My motherboard model is B450 MSI bazooka v2.
