Issue with Govee Prisma RGB strip causing overheating at the motherboard interface.
She just got me some new RGB strips for my PC. Before, I'd just connect the end outside the case and use any USB adapter in the box. I'm curious if these Govee strips fit my motherboard. I've tried cheap alternatives before—they quickly overheat, so I used an adapter hoping it was the price. My board has a 12V RGB header. I tried inserting the strip, which has connectors on both sides, but it warmed up after a few minutes. I don't see any info about the voltage on the strips or in the included USB adapter, and I'm unsure if the heat is from incorrect voltage or just a minor difference. Plugging them in might damage them over time. The strips are Govee Prisma 10, and my motherboard is an Asus TUF. The included USB adapter doesn't list voltage details either. This feels like a mix of motherboard and peripherals questions, but I'm not sure where to look.
