Issue with Gigabyte RTX 4060 gaming RGB lighting not functioning properly
Issue with Gigabyte RTX 4060 gaming RGB lighting not functioning properly
So i have a question.
I received the card one year ago and it still functions properly, except the RGB settings aren't working correctly. It doesn't appear in the GCC control center anymore, nor in other RGB software I've used. I've updated the firmware to version f1.0, but it downloads and then stops doing anything, just warning me it can update. I've reinstalled GCC, but that didn't help either, and I've cleared the CMOS too. It stays pale blue when starting up but turns bright white during gameplay.
Do anyone have any suggestions besides fixing the card?
I don't want to replace it because of the time needed for repairs.

And reinstalling Windows seems like a big hassle just for the RGB to possibly work.
Thank you for any advice!
It does not appear in the GCC control center or any other RGB software I have used before. It seems the controller for the RGB on the card has stopped working. I have attempted to update the firmware to version f1.0, but it downloads and fails to proceed, only displaying an update option. Are you running the executable with elevated privileges? I prefer not to perform a repair because of the time required and the hassle of reinstalling Windows, especially since the RGB might still function. You may want to consider using the warranty for your cardātime spent reading this could be reducing its validity and delaying your replacement. Why would you need to reinstall the OS if you send it in for repair? Also, sending the card to a local shop would void your warranty. I recommend opting for an RMA instead.
Hey! Yeah, I still have some time left on the warranty. I tried reinstalling Windows after reading a tip on another forum. Thanks for your help.
And the inquiry about the firmware update being via the GCC software. I'm attempting to locate it another way, but what does an elevated command refer to?
I have an RTX 4060 Gaming OC with the same LED issue and this is my approach.
First, uninstall Gigabyte Control Center and restart the system.
Download the firmware for RTX 4060 and RTX 4070-80-90.
Keep the task administrator open and run the RTX 4060 firmware file.
After a few seconds, the task will end with the file administrator.
The graph should stay lit in light blue.
Next, turn off the PC and wait about 5 seconds before turning it back on.
Now run the RTX 4070-80-90 firmware; wait until it finishes.
If everything went well, the graph should remain light blue.
Then restart the PC again and apply the RTX 4060 firmware.
We hope it works and the LED will turn on in color cycle.
The GCC program turns off the LEDāuse another tool like OpenRGB or SignalrgB.
A user who tried it had to turn off the PC for a minute, depending on the machine.
