It seems fixing the BIOS chip isn't a viable option. Swapping it back could be tough, especially since it's been around for a while. Maybe a full replacement would be simpler. Sad to hear that. It looks like motherboards can be pretty pricey.

It depends on your choice, but it's disappointing losing a lot due to just a few dollars. At least try to keep it, maybe it gets fixed someday.

I discovered a way to program EPROM using a crocodile clip. I plan to purchase a programmer and attempt to repair it for about one-twentieth the cost of a new motherboard. Luckily, it isn’t damaged, just poorly programmed, according to me.
