Issue with failing to achieve full load even when using default settings
Hi all,
I'm new to overclocking and need some advice. My system runs IBT at 5GHz with 1.36V and LCC in Turbo mode, following Gigabyte's guide. But Prime95 CoreTemp shows I never hit 100% load—each core is between 65-75% with temperatures in the 70s. After resetting everything to factory settings (4.7GHz), it still gives the same result. Any tips on what might be wrong?
Prime95 for versions older than 26.6 utilizes AVX instruction sets. If the CPU identifies AVX usage, it will reduce the overclocking. AVX delivers significantly higher performance compared to regular loads, effectively simulating 130% utilization instead of the standard 100%. Regarding the p95 test, the default configuration uses the small FFT, blend, or large FFT method.
