Hello everyone! I’m reaching out for some guidance on troubleshooting my setup. Here’s how it looks: Motherboard: ASUS Prime 5610M-A CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti (GIGABYTE WINDFORCE) RAM: 2x 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengence 3600mhz Storage: WD Blue NVMe SN570 500GB Drive Game: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD The performance feels about a third of what I expect from similar builds online. I mainly play two games—Call of Duty Modern Warfare II (average 85-90 fps, medium settings 1080p) and Fortnite (average 100-120 fps, medium/high settings, 1080p). At first, I suspected a RAM issue since the RAM was clocked at 2666MHz using two sticks (one 4GB at 3200MHz, one 16GB at 2666MHz). I replaced the RAM and still saw the same speed. After updating BIOS and tweaking XMP settings to 3600MHz, the PC still boots but doesn’t start properly. I switched back to 3200MHz and it boots now. The system is stable, but no noticeable improvement in gameplay. I’m new to PC modifications, so maybe I overlooked something obvious. If this is the case, please help! Thanks ahead!

I noticed my motherboard doesn't accept 3600MHz RAM, but 3200MHz should work fine

Check if every driver is current and view the temperatures in the game. Let me know.

Thanks for your patience! I've confirmed all drivers are current and followed the advice to update chipset and remove GPU drivers before reinstalling. The process finished without any changes. On all CPU cores, temperatures stay around 71°C, while the GPU hovers near 76°C with a peak of 88.7°C—still a hot spot. It seems the bottleneck remains on the GPU. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate this. Since I only bought the GPU a few weeks ago, it should be functioning well. According to Userbenchmark, it’s performing above average.

The Warzone results match what I anticipated for this configuration. Fortnite performance is heavily influenced by video settings, which can cut your frame rate in half with this build. The CPU may exceed 200 FPS. It's possible to adjust the GFE overlay (Alt + Z) → Settings → HUD overlay → Performance and select Advanced. In-game, press Alt + R to view performance stats, then capture a screenshot. If video-related settings are the issue, aim for about 100% GPU usage. CPU load typically stays under 60%, usually between 45 and 53%, since it can't use all available threads.
