I recently reinstalled Battlefield3 and updated my account. The password was reset and the game was installed again. When I tried to play, the system showed an error about a wrong email or password. Anyone interested?

Need to clear the password once more? It’s possible EA might have missed something.

The game didn’t install properly at first, which caused issues. The original password is now locked, so I can access my games again. However, selecting "Play" forces it to open via Internet Explorer. This behavior occurs on a 9 setting on the device. Is this unusual?

Are you talking about Internet Explorer 9? It could be an issue since most developers skip versions below IE11 now. You might have to add a plugin for IE to make the server browser work properly. (It makes sense you need Origin to install a game, then a plugin, and finally run it in a web browser just to launch the game.)

You're really struggling with these EA titles... I get it. I've been playing Crysis2 too, and I'm thinking about switching to a newer PC version (W7) this weekend to see if it helps. I'll definitely steer clear of more EA Origin games—worthless effort for such a bad experience.
