This has been quite a challenge, having experienced several crashes while playing on my 5700xt. Often fixing it involves checking saved games, ID software, or doing a driver reinstall. The correct path seems to be the system drive, users folder, your username, saved games, ID software base.

It might have been better to address this earlier before sharing, but a game restart resolved the issue. I dislike how my extensive knowledge can make basic solutions hard to remember, lol.

When it first launched, my 4790k and 970 ran smoothly without any issues. Now, using newer hardware feels intriguing. I encounter odd glitches with Vulkan on my Navi GPU, and sometimes changing graphics settings causes the game to crash completely, needing a fresh setup just to get it running again.

It's notable since my system runs at 4790k and 960 with 2GB RAM, and I haven't encountered any issues until now. Thanks for your support!

Simple to accomplish, yet still valuable to share since it's quite intriguing.
