Hello, I recently acquired a second-hand 9370 laptop in great shape. I know it's an older model, so some issues are normal, especially with XPS devices. When using a 65W AC to USB-C charger, the keyboard becomes very sluggish, making it hard to type accurately. I checked the Dell forums and found few solutions, but most didn't work. Interestingly, the laptop functions perfectly on battery power—my typing speed is normal without any missed inputs. I've tried updating drivers via the Dell website and disabling self-refresh, but neither helped. Do you have any known fixes for this problem?

The charger might not be compatible or your laptop's PCB could be faulty. Likely the issue is with the charger itself—possibly a dead charger or damaged cable. Try using a different charger, either the original Dell model or a reliable third-party brand like UGREEN or Baseus.

Use ThrottleStop to check for throttling issues. Dell applies BD PROCHOT throttling on several laptops when an unidentified charger is connected. Clear the BD PROCHOT setting on the main screen of ThrottleStop if needed. Share any screenshots for assistance. Most third-party chargers won’t be recognized by the BIOS and may not function correctly with Dell devices.
