I have a friend who switched from a Ryzen 3 1200 to a Ryzen 5 3600x. After the change, the PC wouldn't start up, and the case lights didn't activate either. The fans on both the case and CPU turned on, leading us to think the CPU was faulty. We returned it and got a replacement, but the issue continued with the new CPU. The old Ryzen 3 worked fine. We also updated the BIOS and waited about 15 minutes for booting. Now we're dealing with no HDMI output from neither the motherboard nor the GPU.

Here are the specs:

I hope you didn’t receive the same faulty CPU, could you tell me which store it came from? Is it feasible to exchange it for a different model without the x variant?

It's a different CPU since it was purchased from another supplier before the previous one was returned

Consider reinstalling the old CPU; it's possible the motherboard was damaged during the replacement.

He previously used an older CPU and had some original configurations before. The BIOS was reset to its standard settings.

He didn't have any overclocking configurations, and we indeed reinitialized the BIOS settings.

Discovered you require the beta version of the BIOS to operate the third generation.
