Hello, I recently assembled my PC and it functions properly, though I'm worried about the CPU connector. The left side doesn't fully click no matter how hard I push—it even hurt my fingers. I've reinserted it several times, trying to align or push the left side first, but nothing changes. It still feels loose; you need to wiggle and pull to remove it. Is this okay?

Boy, I don't like how those connectors are placed. I've dealt with some split ones that really make it hard to get them in right. I'm not sure what else to say except keep trying to fit the retaining clip until it locks in. If you can pull the cable out without forcing the release, it means they're not seated well and I wouldn't power anything.

Are you certain you're selecting the proper CPU cable, rather than a closely related one like PCI-E? Check the pin configuration on the cable against the motherboard's specifications.

These are definitely 4+4 connectors.
Pressing down using the tip of a screwdriver helps prevent finger bruises.

Ah, yes, I remember the pain and annoyance... did that myself just last week. I would try the screw driver trick above. Be careful not to slip, though, that might damage the board or cables!

Unfortunately, even using the screwdriver didn't help. I've spent hours trying, but it still won't go in. I'm going to buy an extension cable from Cablemod.

How are you placing those connectors? Are they 4-pin on one side and 4-pin on the other, or do you insert the entire 8-pin at once?

Tried both options and it doesn't work no matter what I do.
