Attempt to power off and restart your console. I also have a PS5 but it doesn’t seem to have the same problem. In the past, random events like map opening or web slings occurred, but I either restarted the console, inspected the disc for marks, reinserted it if needed, or just closed and reopened the game. Of course, if this is only for this game, it’s likely related to how the console handles it or the game itself. If possible, try opening a new save slot to see if the behavior changes.

There might be a problem with the controller. Are there any other games experiencing this issue with the button?

Try turning off and back on your console. I also have a PS5 but it wasn’t the same problem. In the past, random events like map openings or web slings occurred, so I’d restart the console, check the disc for marks, reinsert it if needed, or just close and reopen the game. Of course, if it’s only this game, it’s likely related to how the console handles it or the game itself. If possible, try opening a new save slot to see what happens.

Absolutely, I inspect the disc for any marks since a scratch can occasionally cause the PS5 to misread it, though the probability is extremely small. This is just a precaution and not meant to be used for fixing issues.
