Our configuration includes: Computer A with a TP-Link PCI network card supporting 1Gbps over Ethernet, paired with an AMD 5600X, 16GB RAM, GeForce 3070, ASRock AB350 Pro4, and a 650W quiet power supply. Computer B features an integrated network card, also at 1Gbps over Ethernet, equipped with an AMD 5600X, 32GB RAM, GeForce 3080, Gigabyte B550m Aorus Pro, and a 750W quiet power supply. Both devices connect via Ethernet to the TP-Link router, which in turn links to our ISP. Currently, the setup operates as follows: Computer A transmits video streams at 1920x1080 with 60FPS using OBS, employing NDI via NVENC. Computer B receives these streams, adds overlays, and then broadcasts them through NVENC to TwitchTV. We've observed minor stutters during gameplay, especially when running dynamic titles like GTA V or Euro Truck Sim 2. On both systems, CPU and GPU usage remain stable, with no interruptions during gameplay. The issue seems concentrated in the NDI transmission segment. OBS shows no frame drops on either machine during these interruptions. Network traffic is approximately 300 Mbit/s from Computer A to Computer B during NDI streaming, while Computer B sends about 6 Mbit/s to TwitchTV. It's also worth mentioning that only our mobile phones are connected to the network at any given time. I’m seeking suggestions on potential causes for these problems. The problem appears to stem from computer A using a Gigabit onboard network card instead of a 100Mb link. If it only supports a 100/100 connection, the cabling might be faulty.

Run a simple continuous ping (-t) between the devices to confirm network stability. For a more advanced option, consider the free PingPlotter version.

Approximately ten minutes of continuous pings on both devices yields consistent outcomes (local address varies slightly, but overall remains stable): Reply from 192.168.0.239: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128 Typically, within a ten-minute window those delays in the video feed would appear at least five times. This seems acceptable. For reference, I plan to run the ping command for several hours. I’m curious if there’s any way to stress-test the router itself. Edit: After executing it in the background for an hour, I detected a few isolated cases where pings reached up to 15ms with no packet loss. I’ll now attempt to create a test stream to compare performance.
