Hi everyone, I recently purchased a new CPU cooler and installed it. The PC starts up normally, fans are running, and LEDs are on, but none of my connected devices—like the Kb+M, monitors, or headset—are receiving any signal. There’s no visible damage to the motherboard, no error lights appear, and I’ve tried resetting BIOS, updating CMOS, unplugging and replugging cables, and even trying a different monitor. The issue persists. Should I take it to a repair shop or is there a way to fix it at home?

The previous cooler was outdated, and now I have a fresh one. There could be uneven pressure on the CPU, which might lead to poor contact between certain pins.

I own a contact frame with an older cooler model, the deepcool AK620, now I'm using the newer Fractal Celsius S28 Prisma.

Did you verify the CPU socket for bent pins? The USB controller is built into the motherboard chipset, yet it must communicate with the CPU.

I looked for bent pins but didn’t spot any. I also didn’t see any pins that are loose or missing. As I said earlier, there’s no visible damage to the motherboard.

While disconnecting and reconnecting USB cords, did you attempt to remove all USB devices and then connect only the mouse or keyboard? It’s possible a faulty device is creating a ground issue or overlapping pins in a USB port.

I gave it another try swapping it in and out, but it’s fine—I sent it to a repair shop.
