Hi, I have a i9 9900k and a 3070 with 32 GB of ram but when I play CSGO my fps drops to 80 sometimes and in valorant it also does the same thing. Does anyone know why this might be happening I feel like I should definitely be getting higher constant FPS. I'm not really tech savvy but I can record a video if needed of me playing csgo and having constant fps drops to 80 or valorant. This has been a problem since I bought the computer but just figured the drops were part of the games.
Verify your CPU and GPU temperatures. Remove graphics drivers using DDU, download and install the newest drivers for your card, and confirm your RAM operates at the correct speed in BIOS. Use XMP profiles with the DDU display driver uninstaller CORETEMP to check CPU temps, then stress-test it while Coretemp is open to view the FURMARK graph showing idle card temperatures. Apply quick stress in the app to observe temperature changes. If you're unfamiliar with these steps, look for tutorials online.
