Hello,
My recent purchase included a Chromebook Asus flip and this product link. It functions well, but the main problem is the cable is too short, causing the hub and cable to hang from the side of my laptop, which puts strain on both the cable and the input. Can I extend the cable without running into any issues?
It supports many tasks, like connecting an external monitor, providing an Ethernet port for the Chromebook, and charging via pass-through. I’m concerned that using a cheap USB-C extension might compromise these features or make them unusable.
Thanks.

The solution would be to buy a good quality extension cable that fully supports all USB-C features.
Here's one
for your consideration. It's one metre long.
