after adding a noctua fan to my setup I damaged the included extension cable. in the bios I found abnormal cpu 13000 readings while the fan remained completely still. later i replaced the cable with a fresh one and everything worked fine. should i be concerned about any potential harm to my rig during its brief operation? i shut down the computer immediately after noticing the strange rpms in the bios, then forced a shutdown when booting into the system where i spotted those unusual cpu speeds.

The defective fan wire shouldn't produce issues, but if it resolves now I wouldn't be concerned unless it reappears.
