Issue with Black Ops 1 FPS performance
Hey there, just bought Black Ops 1 about a week ago. When I play multiplayer, my CPU usage hits 100% across all four cores—two cores with four threads. It makes the game really hard to play at times, dropping FPS below 30 sometimes, even falling to 20 or 10 randomly. After around level 15, things get worse and the game starts chopping up, especially during intense moments like Nova Crawlers exploding. If anyone knows a fix, please let me know. Also, my GPU never exceeds 6% usage, even on low settings and all resolutions, while the CPU struggles more than expected. Thanks!
Avoid dual-core processors, particularly those that aren't well-optimized, such as CoD paired with an older engine.
Black ops 1 performed poorly across platforms due to its weak Xbox 360 translation. Mouse controls feel much slower compared to previous titles like Cod4, MW2, and MW3. Even with a small player base, it remains a poor investment except for the zombie campaign.
